Meet M3 Team
M3 has a current staff team of 8, drawn from a range of backgrounds and disciplines. Based at our office in Rawtenstall, we operate throughout East Lancashire to support our volunteer Householders, young people and young families.

Alan Dorrington
CHARITY MANAGER
With a professional background working in Manchester with young runaways under 16 as well as streetwork, outreach and resettlement with 16-25yr olds, Alan moved to East Lancashire and started at M3 as Charity Manager in 2003. A keen fell runner, Alan is often found training and racing around the Lancashire and Lake District hills and mountains.

Jayne Turner
CHARITY OFFICER
Jayne is our Charity Officer and brings a wealth of experience gained working for large Government organisations. Tasked with managing all our office functions, as well as our social media presence, Jayne also has a hectic schedule running around after her two sons.

Joanne Mitchell Aspin
SENIOR PROJECT WORKER
Joanne has been working in social work for 30 years and now runs our Teenage Family service. Outside of M3, she is busy volunteering for a number of projects close to her heart including East Lancs & Pendleside Hospice, and helping orphans and families in third world countries through the Bethany Project.

Mathew Meynall
Project Worker, Supported Lodgings
Mathew has been with M3 since 2010, and is one of the Charity’s Supported Lodgings workers, supporting young people in lodgings placements and helping them move on to longer term accommodation.
A proud dad of three, Mathew finally succumbed to injuries and his football days are over. Now he enjoys spending time with his family and watching the beautiful game.

Dawn Rowe
Host Liaison Worker and Referral Assessor
Dawn has been working with the Charity for 19 years. Before working with M3, Dawn supported people with learning needs to live independently.
After working for 18 years on our supported lodgings service, helping young people toward independence, her role has changed and she is now the Host Liaison Worker and Referral Assessor.

Emma Bird
Support Worker
Emma started with M3 in July 2015 after have a background working within substance misuse services. She divides her work time at M3 between providing support to young mums on our Teenage Family service and working with our fantastic Provider team. Her 4 children keep her busy outside of work along with her Jackawawa dog Daisy, who has been a social media star for M3 during ‘Bring your dog to work day’.

Chantelle Dhont
Charity Development Worker and Project Worker
Chantelle started as our Listening Project worker in April 2019, following a period volunteering as one of our peer mediators on the same project. A former service user of our supported lodgings service when she was younger, Chantelle has a wealth of other experience volunteering with young people in youth work and related settings. She has now taken on a role with Charity Development at M3.

Sarah was homeless and pregnant, unable to find anywhere secure to live whilst sofa surfing. She was able to move into one of our supported teenage family properties 2 months before the birth of her daughter, and with our support, developed the confidence to live independently.
